- If the suit is opened, used and worn: We take hygiene very seriously, especially since the outbreak of the pandemic and cannot refund suits which have been used or worn. As the suit is designed to be worn next to the skin and without undergarments, it is treated the same as underwear or swimwear for hygiene and refund purposes and cannot be returned or swapped unless shown to be faulty.
You can submit refund requests within:
- 10 business days after the order is delivered;
- 45 business days since your order was placed. You can do it by sending a message on Contact Us page.
If you are approved for a refund, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)
EMS stands for electrical muscle stimulation (or electromyostimulation) technology that builds muscle and burns fat easier and faster than conventional training, using external electrical impulses instead of impulses from the brain to cause muscles to contract. Just 20 minutes of EMS training can deliver the same benefits as 3 hours in a gym as EMS stimulates muscles better than the brain does and recruits more muscle fibers during movements than workouts without EMS.
The AWI POWERSUIT’s electrodes run on a low voltage battery, housed in the Energy Box, which also contains the ‘brains’ and circuit board that controls the suit, made for us by the top circuit board manufacturer in the World. Nothing is plugged into the mains and there is not enough electricity to hurt you. Electrical Muscle Stimulation has been used in medical settings in the U.S. for years, and you may have experienced a form of it if you have used TENS as part of a physical therapy treatment.
Yes, it is safe, and no, it is not painful, although at first the electrical stimulation can feel a bit weird, but you soon get used to it. The EMS square-shaped waveform has been scientifically proven to be safe and effective if used in accordance with instructions. The electrical impulses of EMS are similar to those used in TENS machines, which are widely used for pain relief or muscle relaxation. Before EMS, the only option to build muscle was resistance training with heavy weights or other devices carrying the risk of damaging joints and tendons, especially for seniors, who also need to maintain muscle density for health.
EMS uses electrical impulses instead of weights to cause the muscle to contract and create resistance during a workout. This enables an ultra-low impact workout which is also incredibly effective, without the risks associated with heavy weights, so not only is the risk of injury significantly reduced, it makes it suitable for those with limited mobility or who can’t or don’t want to visit a gym.
If there are no existing health problems, almost anyone can benefit from EMS training – from young to old. However, if you wear a pacemaker or have conditions like cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurological diseases, diabetes, or epilepsy, EMS training is not recommended. It’s also best to avoid workouts when you have been fighting a cold, the flu, a fever, or bacterial infection.
EMS is not recommended when you are pregnant. However, EMS training will be extremely beneficial after giving birth, helping you to recover and get back into your best shape quickly.

In general, if you are healthy and capable of working out, you can participate in EMS training sessions!
Read the user manual and follow the instructions. Beginners should use low intensity (e.g 15%) for several weeks at first and not use the suit for more than 2-3x weekly at 20 minutes each time. Overtraining with EMS, just like overtraining with conventional methods, can cause biochemical byproducts of muscle breakdown in the bloodstream such as myoglobin and creatinine which are a burden for the kidneys to detoxify. As with everything, safety first. Drink plenty of water and give your muscles a chance to rest between workouts.
For any given workout pattern the app timer counts down and automatically switches off after 20 minutes, the recommended period for EMS training for maximum results and safety. You should not workout the same muscle groups more than 2-3 times weekly, with or without EMS. Do not be tempted to overdo it. More is not necessarily better.
Because the electrical pulse penetrates deep into muscle fiber during the workout, an EMS session is extremely efficient. Nearly 100 percent of muscle fiber in ten major muscle groups is activated during an EMS workout, yielding the results of six to eight hours of traditional strength training in just one 15-minute session.

Step into the suit legs first as if it were a swimsuit or wetsuit. Pull it up over your shoulders. For suits with rear zipper: Hold down the tab below the zipper and use the other hand to pull the zipper up with the magnetic connector. Once tight this will attach to the back of the suit magnetically so it doesn’t get in the way while training. For suits with front zipper simply zip up as you would a hoodie. For those with breast implants and who are not advised to activate the electrodes over the pectoral muscles (breast area), the front zipper option may be more convenient or comfortable.
Attach the ENERGY BOX to the connectors on the right hip and make sure it is correctly situated with the two lights facing upwards.
Secure it to your suit with the Velcro strap.
Once you have downloaded the AWI app from either the Appstore or Google Play, register with your phone number and a simple, easy to remember password or simply pair it with the Bluetooth code number printed on your Energy Box, depending which model you have.
Make sure your Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Press the top of the ENERGY BOX to activate one light. Once logged in click on the suit icon where you can scan for the POWERSUIT.
Once connected both lights will show on the ENERGY BOX. Click again on the bar which says Connected and you will come to the choice of training patterns.
Choose either: FAT BURN, CARDIO, STRENGTH TRAINING, or RELAX and click on the icon. Do not select Professional or VIP modes if you are new to EMS. On the next screen, you will see the pattern explained. Click on the X and you are ready to start.
You can activate one or all muscle groups simultaneously, adjusting the intensity of each one. When a button is greyed out it is ‘off’, but after you tap it in the center it turns blue when it is ‘on’. The ALL button will adjust all electrodes up or down by the same amount. Once you have warmed up and ideally caused a mild sweat, start with low intensity at first like 10% and adjust according to how you feel. Whatever setting you choose, it is programmed to switch off after 20 minutes, which is considered the ideal period for an EMS workout for maximum benefit which is sustainable.
Just 20 minutes of full body EMS training can deliver the benefits only previously gained from around 3 hours in the gym! Combine this with your usual routine for increased results or perform simple bodyweight exercises and stretching.

a) Spandex fabric is very stretchy and retains its original shape
b) You want the best possible conductivity between the electrodes and your skin, and
c) Most people become slimmer after continued use of the POWERSUIT.
Note: Detachable compression straps are included for the upper arms, thighs, and abdomen to ensure the best possible conductivity of the EMS signal, even as you become slimmer.
EMS training is revolutionizing the fitness landscape, but not all products are what they claim to be, from the quality of the materials used to the quality of electrical signal itself.
EMS waves are square waves, which can be demonstrated easily using an oscilloscope. Only this shaped wave actually contracts the muscle; any other shaped wave will not be effective and delivers little more than a mild electric shock! We analyzed several competitors’ products, which showed NO clear waveform, let alone a square wave.
Some EMS suits and their electrodes need to be sprayed with water first to enhance conductivity. There is usually no need to do this with the AWI POWERSUIT since the electrodes have a special covering to enhance conductivity. However, if you are in a cold climate or you have dry skin it is recommended to warm up first and work up a sweat, as you should do before any exercise, or moisten your skin to enhance conductivity.
Not all EMS products are able to be washed after each use, but the AWI POWERSUIT is. It may be washed by hand or machine after each use, using a low temperature wash (up to 30 degrees) and may be line dried. Some systems use electrical components which easily oxidize when washed, shortening their useful life.
